In a meeting that lasted for three hours at the Secretariat, the Chief Minister reviewed the status of Galeru-Nagari, Handri neeva, Veligonda, Thotapalli, Vamsadhara, Pattiseema, Polavaram right, Main canal, Gundlakamma projects and directed the officials to ensure the completion of projects by June this year.

Chandrababu Naidu reiterated to the officials that providing water to the fields is the first priority of the government and there was no dearth of funds to complete the project and supply water to the fields for the Kharif season. “If needed, additional powers will be given to officials to ensure faster clearances,” the Chief Minister said adding that the need of the hour was meeting deadlines.

The chief minister directed the officials to assign the last leg of work in projects to contractors or use GO No. 22 to convince the contractors. “If there is no response, take strict action," he said.
