Masqati Dairy cricket team feted
The entire team from the city-based Masqati Dairy Products Cricket Club (MDPCC) was in for a welcome celebration, courtesy of the team management, under the stewardship of their principal promoter, Aslam Nahdi (Kingmaker to the team members). Nahdi organised a felicitation function at the Babu Khan grounds in Gachibowli on Wednesday.
The entire team from the city-based Masqati Dairy Products Cricket Club (MDPCC) was in for a welcome celebration, courtesy of the team management, under the stewardship of their principal promoter, Aslam Nahdi (Kingmaker to the team members). Nahdi organised a felicitation function at the Babu Khan grounds in Gachibowli on Wednesday.
The team was in impressive form this season winning six tournaments and finishing runner-up in five of the 15 events they participated, besides making it to the knockout stage in the other ones. MDPCC emerged triumphant in Corporate Big Bash-6; 27th Sir Patnam Rajender Reddy Memorial Cricket tournament, Shabad; T20 Corporate Premier League Season I; Deccan Premier League; Hyderabad Corporate Cricket Trophy Season I and Hyderabad Corporate Cricket League.
A redeeming feature of MDPCC is that they go in to each tournament with a new captain to give the players an opportunity to hone leadership skills. The player-captain included Mohd Ali, Jameel Iqbal, Salman Syed, Aslam Nahdi, Vasiuddin Ahmed, Aleemuddin, Abdul Rahman, K Murthy, Musthaq Khan, Aamer Nahdi, Mahaveer Singh and Zubbair Ahmed.
