Drunken driver rams school bus into electric pole; 2 hurt

Hyderabad: Two students of a private school were injured when their school bus rammed into an electricity pole at Virat Nagar in Meerpet on Thursday. The driver was in an inebriated condition when he was bringing the students from the school, the cops said. The bystanders, who saw the bus crash into the pole, rushed and pulled out the children and the cleaner. The children who suffered minor injuries were shifted to a nearby hospital. Irate locals thrashed the driver. Agitated parents staged a demonstration in front of the school and demanded stringent action against the driver. The front portion of the bus was partially damaged. A case has been registered.
