Power tariff charges in Telangana go up by 4.42 per cent

The Telangana Electricity Regulatory Commission has approved a 4.42 percent overall increase in power tariff for 2015-16 sparing the domestic consumers consuming less than 200 units per month.

The TERC chairman Mohammed Ismail Ali Khan said that the proposed hike in power tariff will apply for domestic consumers who use more than 200 units per month.

All domestic consumers for consumption below 200 units per month and cottage industries consumers are also not affected by the hike, he said.
