Bhadrachalam (Khammam): Bhadradri, the abode of Lord Sitaramachandra Swamy, has been decked up for Sitarama Kalyanam which will be conducted on the occasion of Srirama Navami on Saturday.Hordes of devotees have already ascended on the temple town to witness the celestial wedding of Lord Rama and Goddess Sita at the hugely decked up Mithila Stadium.

With elegant arches depicting Lord Rama and His Consort Sita, colourful lights and flowers at all vantage points, the temple town wore a festive look for the big occasion on Saturday. Amid religious fervour, priests and a huge number of devotees participated in the Swamyvari ‘Edurkollu’, a ritual inviting the bridegroom, on Friday evening.

Meanwhile, the police made elaborate security arrangements for Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s visit. Rao, who arrived here on Friday evening, will offer Mutyala Talambalu and silk clothes on behalf of the State government to Lord Rama and Goddess Sita.This is the first celestial wedding of the Lord being performed at Bhadrachalam temple after the State bifurcation. Governor ESL Narasimhan will attend Sri Rama Maha Pattabhishekam on Sunday.
