On Friday, thousands of students wrote Class X exams with an aim to further their studies, but a grief-stricken son wrote the exam controlling his tears.

Pitla Govardhan Reddy, a student of New Pragnya school in Munagala, paid his tributes to her mother by writing the exam.

Govardhan Reddy's mother Padma died in a road accident on the outskirts of Munagala in Nalgonda district on Thursday evening.

An ambulance arrived at the spot and shifted the body to the Government Hospital for mortuary. After completing the formalities, the body was taken to her home in the wee hours of Friday.

The inconsolable son refused to attend the exam which would begin in two hours. He refused to leave his mother's side. But his relatives intervened and coaxed him to write the exam.

He attended the exam with immense grief and insurmountable loss. Later, he came and attended the funeral process. This pathetic scene brought tears to the eyes of all the villagers.
