Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday attended a special ceremony held at the residence of the former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee, who was conferred with the country’s highest civilian award of Bharat Ratna by the President Pranab Mukherjee. In a departure from protocol, the President drove to former Prime Minister’s house and presented Bharat Ratna to him.

New Delhi: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday attended a special ceremony held at the residence of the former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee, who was conferred with the country’s highest civilian award of Bharat Ratna by the President Pranab Mukherjee. In a departure from protocol, the President drove to former Prime Minister’s house and presented Bharat Ratna to him. Naidu reached the capital this afternoon from Hyderabad and drove straight to 7, Krishna Menon Marg, the official residence of Vajpayee. He was one among the few guests who were allowed inside the residence.
