Hyderabad: A two-year-old girl drowned in a sump near Rajiv Swagruha under Chandanagar police limits on Sunday. The girl, Srimahalaxmi, was daughter of Raju and Sunita from Zaherabad, Medak district.According to the police, the couple residing at Gopanpally works as labourers. On Sunday, the couple came to Rajiv Swagruha in search of a rented house in the nearby locality.
On Sunday afternoon, after feeding the girl, the couple got busy with their work. The child was playing nearby but went missing after some time. After a long search, a worker saw the girl lying dead inside an open sump in a nearby building. A case has been registered.
