Prisoner dies in police station Miryalaguda

An inter-state burglar, Chakradhar, hailing from Tadepalligudem in East Godavari district, who was a remanded prisoner in the One Town Police Station in the town, died on Saturday.

There were eight cases pending against him. Speaking to the media here on Sunday, DSP Sandip Gone said Chakradhar was sent to jail 16 times till now and he was taken for interrogation in a case relating to theft of money.

He said that Chakradhar complained of chest pain while he was being interrogated at 10 pm on Saturday and the police took him to the Area hospital in Miryalaguda where he died while undergoing treatment.
