The Administrative Staff College of India took up the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan at its Bella Vista campus on Tuesday. “Cleanliness should be the top priority of every citizen as piled up garbage and unhygienic environs are the root cause of many diseases that force people to spend a major portion of their earnings on treatment and medication,” said Ravi Kant, Director General, ASCI. Ravi Kant called upon officials at workplaces to motivate colleagues and staff by wholeheartedly taking part in the cleanliness campaign.

The cleanliness drive was launched simultaneously in all ASCI campuses -- New Delhi, Tiruvanantapuram and Kolkata. “The Urban Development Ministry has declared that ASCI is the natural partner in Swachh Bharat Mission,” Ravi Kant said. Registrar Kalyan Roy and deans Prof. M Chandrasekhar and Prof. B Lakshmi, along with faculty members and other employees, took part in the programme. The programme would come to an end at ASCI’s College Park Campus on Thursday.
