Arrest Warrant against RGV?
Arrest Warrant on RGV? The latest legal trouble for RGV has come due to his comments on ‘Dera baba’, who is a self-proclaimed religious head. The comments not only have invited the wrath of Dera’s followers but also has a police case filed against him by Dera’s followers.
It’s a common aspect for film maker Ram Gopal Varma to be amidst legal hassles, courtesy his twitter comments.
The latest legal trouble for RGV has come due to his comments on ‘Dera baba’, who is a self-proclaimed religious head. The comments not only have invited the wrath of Dera’s followers but also has a police case filed against him by Dera’s followers.
Since RGV is not residing in Mumbai anymore, the notices weren’t served to him. Hence, legal proceedings are taking place to issue arrest warrant on RGV for naming Dera Baba aka Sant Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh ‘Shaitan’.
The complaint filed against RGV includes objectionable, derogatory comments on one of the most controversial religious head and his film. Interestingly, with Supreme Court striking down the section 66(A) of IT act, one of the sections under which RGV was booked would be null and void.
However, RGV can still be held under IPC Section 298 – using derogatory words hurting religious sentiments. Soon, a warrant might follow leading to the arrest of RGV as an FIR has been lodged on the film maker under the above mentioned section.
