K Bhargavi awarded doctorate by ANU

K Bhargavi, head of the physics department at PB Siddhartha Arts and Science College, has been awarded a doctorate by Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU) in Guntur for her tremendous work on ‘Optical and Thermal Stimulated Luminescence of Some Rare Earth Ions Doped –Glasses Influence of A1plus Ions’ in physics.

According to a release, K Bhargavi had worked on the topic under the guidance of Prof. N Veeraiah of ANU. In her thesis, she discussed the uses of lead silicate glass in medical and health fields, telecommunications, laser based technologies and cameras.

For her study on it, the university awarded her a doctorate in philosophy in Physics.Siddhartha Academy director Paladugu Lakshmana Rao, Principal MVN Padma Rao, Director Vemuri Babu Rao, other faculty congratulated Bhargavi.
