KTR to explore finance options
Panchayat Raj Minister K T Rama Rao said several international firms were coming forward along with national firms to extend financial assistance to Telangana Drinking Water Project, ‘Water Grid’. The Minister conducted a review meeting on the ‘Project Intake Wells’ with the department officials here on Monday.
To hold talks with international financial firms this week
Hyderabad: Panchayat Raj Minister K T Rama Rao said several international firms were coming forward along with national firms to extend financial assistance to Telangana Drinking Water Project, ‘Water Grid’. The Minister conducted a review meeting on the ‘Project Intake Wells’ with the department officials here on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, Rama Rao said he would hold discussions with international finance firms in the first week of April.
He also enquired about ZAIKA, LIC, NABARD, HUDCO and several other firms and their capacity in granting funds to the project. The official informed the Minister that the works of Intake wells would be launched in two days. They said the line survey for DPR was over in all the districts. Responding to the officials, the Minister directed them to complete the DPR works segment-wise at the earliest as the line survey was over. He asked the officials to choose high quality pipes for the pipeline by conducting a deep study on pipes.
