Midnight wall collapse kills 2 toddlers in Hyderabad

Two toddlers - a boy and girl - were killed when a wall in their house collapsed at Borabanda in Hyderabad on Monday night.

The incident occurred around midnight on Monday when the two children were sleeping in a room and an internal partition wall suddenly collapsed on them, S R Nagar police station inspector G V Ramana Goud said.

The injured girl and the boy were shifted to a nearby hospital where they succumbed to their injuries. "They have been identified as two-and-half-year old Navya and her brother 18-month-old Saicharan,” the officer said.

Their father suffered minor injuries in the incident. A case has been registered in this regard and further probe is on.
