Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a 25-year-old chartered accountant, who was got married barely a fortnight ago, was found dead in her hostel room under mysterious circumstances at Somajiguda on Monday. Punjagutta police said Anusha, a native of Janupally village in Amalapuram, East Godavari district of AP was working with a reputed company as a senior finance executive. She was found dead on the third floor of a working women’s hostel room located in Somajiguda on Monday morning.

Anusha got married to one Arjun, a native of Rajahmundry on March 8, who is working as a software engineer in Bengaluru. She along with three of other friends had been staying in the hostel for the past couple of years, the cops said. “On Sunday around 10.30 pm, she returned to her room after visiting her brother’s place and retired to sleep. Her roommate, Harshita in the morning tried to wake her up.

But, when she found no response from Anusha, she called 108 Ambulance,” the hostel authorities said, adding that she died before the arrival of the ambulance. Police, who rushed to the spot, utilised the services of Clues team and dog squad to gather clues. “It is hard to jump to any conclusion at this point. More light could be shed only after post-mortem report is received,” ACP (Punjagutta) Venkateshwarlu said.

“Though it seemed that the victim consumed poison as froth was oozing out of her mouth, the exact cause would be ascertained only after the autopsy report. Prima facie it appears to be a case of suicide pact. But we are probing it from all possible angles,” the ACP added.
