On Wednesday, Andhra Pradesh Cabinet Committee took vital decision of confirming the name ‘Amaravathi’ to the Capital that is to be constructed in Guntur District.


AP cabinet passed the resolution unanimously on the naming of the new capital as Amaravati. The marathon cabinet meeting after Chandrababu Naidu return from Singapore on Wednesday decided on various issues - Industrial policies, construction of land bank in 10 lakhs acres, land leases approved up to 99 years, special tax benefits for agriculture & biotechnology departments, special benefits to investors who invests more than 100 Crores in AP capital regions, etc.


Adding further, the cabinet stated that the government will be encouraging who is taking part in clean Andhra Pradesh project. The cabinet also decided to appeal to the Telangana government to rescind the decision on collection of MV tax from vehicles of Andhra Pradesh entering Telangana state. The AP govt will take further action on the basis of the response of Telangana Govt to their appeal.


The cabinet also passed a singular resolution for granting funds for the buiulding of the state capital and other programs in AP.
