Building permit fees takes a jump
The town planning revenue has drastically increased when compared to that of previous years. After the property tax the town planning fee brings in good revenue for the corporation. The number of building permissions and the applications received from June 2014 to March 31, 2015 is around 7816 for the same period in the year June 2013 to March 2014

The number of building permissions and the applications received from June 2014 to March 31, 2015 is around 7816 for the same period in the year June 2013 to March 2014 the number of applications received around 9860.
In the month of March 2015 itself 1141 applications were received as compared to 884 last year. An amount of Rs 526.27 crore was collected in 2014-15. In the month of March 2015 alone, about Rs 120 crore was collected. Somesh Kumar, Special Officer and Commissioner, GHMC said, “270 cases court cases were solved and several establishments paid up tax after several years. Allwyn Watches paid the tax after 29 years likewise, India Bulls, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd paid up after a long hiatus.
