TDP to sack NTR, Lokesh will be crown prince
NTR Jr's dreams of a great political career may be shattered by TDP, if a report doing the rounds is anything to go by.
According to a report in an English daily, the TDP has decided to sack NTR from the party over shirking responsibilities entrusted by the party. His non participation in party meetings, activities and not attending to calls will cost him the party membership, it is learnt. A senior TDP member says so in a newspaper interview.
It's a known fact that NTR did not even campaign for TDP during elections. Instead it was Pawan Kalyan at the behest of BJP who did the needful and earned them a few extra votes. Besides, NTR also failed to show any interest in renewing his membership with the Telugu Desam.
TDP leaders feel there's no point chasing an elusive star when they have Lokesh who's overseeing all the party activities and dutifully attends every meeting.
As per the report, TDP has decided to hold a crucial meeting to decide whether to keep the star or not. Are Nandamuri fans disappointed? Well, Did you forget today is April 1?
