A 36-year-old woman died after she was hit on the head with a wooden stick by her husband in Saidabad late on Tuesday night. Hyderabad: A 36-year-old woman died after she was hit on the head with a wooden stick by her husband in Saidabad late on Tuesday night. According to Saidabad Police, the incident occurred in Hanuman Enclave of Sharuti Nagar on Tuesday night. Following an argument over some domestic issue, the victim, Surabhi Samtha, was beaten up by her husband, S Ravinder Rao, who was reportedly in an inebriated condition.
“Ravinder has retired from the CRPF about three years ago and was facing financial problems,” the cops said, adding that he hit her on the head with a wooden stick causing a grievous injury. On hearing the screams, neighbours rushed to her rescue and took her to a nearby private hospital where she was declared brought dead. Police registered a case against Ravinder under Section 302 (Murder) of the IPC and began investigation.
