Womans dad kills jilted youth
In what could be termed as a most gruesome incident, a jilted lover was killed by the woman’s father in Prashanth Nagar in Kukatpally in the early hours of Friday, after he attacked the woman with a sickle he had been allegedly stalking her for over a year. Police identified the man as Mallesh alias Raju, 30, a native of Chevella in Ranga Reddy district and a resident of the same locality.
The youth attacks woman and her kin; her father retaliates
Hyderabad: In what could be termed as a most gruesome incident, a jilted lover was killed by the woman’s father in Prashanth Nagar in Kukatpally in the early hours of Friday, after he attacked the woman with a sickle he had been allegedly stalking her for over a year. Police identified the man as Mallesh alias Raju, 30, a native of Chevella in Ranga Reddy district and a resident of the same locality.
He inflicted sickle injuries on the family members of the women too on Friday around 5.30 am when they tried to intervene. Neighbours and residents of the locality woke up on hearing the screams. Angered over the sudden attack on his wife and daughter, Vallabh Rao, retaliated and attacked Mallesh killing him instantly. Krishnaveni alias Neeraja, 27, an interior designer, and two of her family members, who suffered injuries, were immediately shifted to Remedy Hospital in Kukatpally and reported to be undergoing treatment.
Doctors attending to them reported that Krishnaveni received deep cut injuries on her neck and hands. “There was huge amount of blood loss with severe deep cut injuries which were properly sutured,” the attending doctors said, adding that the condition of all three was stable. “Mallesh, who was allegedly harassing the woman to marry him for over a year, came to her house on Friday around 5.30 am and knocked at the door.
As she opened the door, he picked up an argument and attacked the woman with the sickle that he brought along with him. So sudden was the attack that the woman had no time to react. Her mother, Tulsamma, and her brother, Gangadhar, were also attacked in the melee,” ACP Kukatpally N Sanjeev Rao said. “Reportedly Mallesh also tried to attack Vallabh Rao. However, Rao snatched the sickle and attacked Mallesh resulting in his instant death,” the ACP said.
