Warangal: An activist of the banned CPI (Maoist), Macha Suguna alias Aruna alias Shanta, surrendered before the police here on Saturday. She surrendered before Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Sampreet Singh at the district police headquarters here. She carries a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh on her head, the OSD said. She was the in-charge and area committee member of the Maoist party Janatana Sarkar (people’s government) Krishi (agriculture) wing, which is one of the nine departments of Janatana Sarkar being run in Dandakaranya of Chhattisgarh by the Maoists. The surrendered activist belongs to Pambapur of Bhupalpalli mandal in Warangal district. She married to Maoist party division committee member Macha Somaiah alias Sathish alias Surender 40 years ago.
