Congress Party's "Zameen Wapsi" Kisan Rally preparations are in full swing that is being held at the Ramlila Ground on Sunday. Banners were put up at the venue that said - "Rahulji Sangharsh Karo, Sare Bharat ke Kisan Aap ke Sath Hai".


Farmers particularly from the northern states of the nation – Rajasthan, Haryana and Punjab arrived to participate in the event. The farmers appealed for help from the Congress scion during the meeting as they recounted their losses.


Stating that Narendra Modi’s Government is not working for the farmers benefit which the Prime Minister had assured during the Poll Campaigning, Rahul Gandhi said that Congress has always worked with the farmers and earlier had waived off farmers' loans worth 70,000 crore rupees.


He said that Congress Party has launched a website 'Zameen Wapsi’ that will aim to provide information on land acquisition. Rahul Gandhi assured the farmers that the ploy of Narendra Modi to snatch the farmers’ lands will not be allowed and that Congress will be there to stop the land acquistion. Also, Narendra Modi’s remark on cleaning 50 years of filth in the country, doesn't suit him nor the office of the Prime Minister, said Rahul Gandhi.
