Hyderabad: A 25-year-old man allegedly strangled his pregnant wife to death late on Saturday night suspecting her infidelity.According to Jeedimetla police, Md Hussain, a resident of Prakasham Pantulu Nagar in the city, was living with his wife in a rented house. Hussain suspected that his wife was having an extramarital affair and she had conceived due to the illicit relationship.“On Saturday night, he had a heated argument with his wife and in a fit of rage he strangled her to death with a telephone wire.
The neighbours, who heard the arguments, thought it was just another domestic row till they found the victim dead in the house,” Jeedimetla inspector A Chandra Shekar said adding that man-hunt has been launched to nab the accused.Police, who swung into action, shifted the body to the Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem. A case has been registered under Section 302 (Murder) of the IPC. Further investigation is on.
