The DST auditorium at the University of Hyderabad resonated with delightful and soothing music as the Hyderabad Western Music Foundation, in collaboration with International School of Hyderabad (ISH) and Bol Hyderabad, presented a concert titled Musical Kaleidoscope recently. The concert started with the Hyderabad Youth Ensemble , playing string, wind and percussion instruments.

They performed music of composers like German composer George Frideric Handel, French composer Maurice Ravel and from the ‘Lord of the Rings’. This was followed by a performance of the elementary and secondary choirs of ISH with approximately 60 children from the school singing their hearts out on a medley.Next up was Deccan Voices, a bunch of 20 experienced and amateur musicians, trained by Joe Koster. Their passion in singing diverse styles was a treat for the audience. The concert, conducted by Jonathan Hewitt, the music coordinator at ISH, concluded with a performance of all the groups playing together on the stage.
