Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is all set to be elected as TRS president for the seventh consecutive time. However, the official announcement will be made during TRS plenary to be held on April 24. Returning Officer and Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy received nominations for TRS chief post at Telangana Bhavan on Monday.

Six sets of nominations were filed in favour of K Chandrashekar Rao. Ministers, TRS Parliamentary Party, TRS Legislature Party, steering committee members, district presidents as well as ZP chairmen and mayors filed one set of nomination papers on behalf of Rao. After the time for receiving nominations ended in the afternoon, Naini held a press meet stating that Rao would be elected unopposed to the post .
