Industrialisation and urbanisation marked the triumph of greed over our present need of sustainable development. United Nation’s earth day is another attempt to recreate the balance between economic growth and modern day environmental need. The first Earth Day led to the creation of the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the passage of the Clean Air, Clean Water, and Endangered Species Acts. Earth Day broadens the base of support for environmental programs, encourages public commitment and builds community activism around the world through range of events and activities. 45th Earth day is an effort to unify people from all around the world and divert attention of our world leaders towards our depleting or polluted natural resources like water. To create awareness regarding depleting water resources, pollution or contamination and wastewater management in India, we would like to share the views of Ikos GAIA CEO Mr. V.S.Pillai.
