Naidu to put AP on fast track
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandra Babu Naidu appears to be awestruck by the Chinese model of growth. Naidu, delivering the guest-lecture at Lal Bahadur Shastri Academy of Administration at Mussorie on Tuesday, made a detailed presentation of what he saw in China and how fast the country had developed. Naidu spoke at length on how countries like South Korea, China and Singapore had achieved double digit growth rate.

New Delhi: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandra Babu Naidu appears to be awestruck by the Chinese model of growth. Naidu, delivering the guest-lecture at Lal Bahadur Shastri Academy of Administration at Mussorie on Tuesday, made a detailed presentation of what he saw in China and how fast the country had developed. Naidu spoke at length on how countries like South Korea, China and Singapore had achieved double digit growth rate. China, the Chief Minister said, had constructed 33 km flyover over the sea.
One can traverse it in 7 minutes. Naidu said it was an amazing experience for him to see that kind of infrastructural facilities in China. Naidu said such kind of development was not difficult and can be emulated in India as well. All that is required is dedication and mission mode approach. Recalling the various developmental activities and welfare measures that were taken up during his earlier tenure as Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh, Naidu said that if a state has dedicated team of IAS officers and political leadership with vision, India can be on par with countries like China and Japan within short time.

Naidu also took the opportunity to explain how he was struggling in putting the cash strapped residuary state of Andhra Pradesh. He said despite having a good intention, the centre has not been able to implement the assurances made in the AP State Reorganisation act due to various factors.
