"The militants attacked at the patrolling troops in which a jawan sustained four bullet injuries, " an official of Assam Rifles said. The injured jawan AK Raout succumbed his injuries on the way to hospital. Top officials of Assam Rifles and Nagaland police had rushed to the area and launched operation against the militants. The faction groups of NSCN are active in the state and bordering areas of Assam and Myanmar.
