Earthquake in India, Nepal creates panic

A Massive earthquake of 7.4 on Richter scale rocked many towns on eastern part of India including coastal towns of Andhra Pradesh like Kakinada and Vijayawada.

Quake with its epicenter of 60 kms in Bharatur near Kathmandu hit Delhi, Bihar, West Bengal, UP, Jaipur, Guwahati and also Guntur, Srikakulam and Godavari districts, say earth quake experts at Vizag weather office.

People ran out of their homes in many parts of east coast towns of AP and up stream states as the earth shook at several places causing panic among people.

NGRI scientist Poornachandra Rao said the earth quake impact was severe in Nepal where in many towns the huge buildings had collapsed causing both human and property loses.
