Hit hard by cricket ball, 6 yr old boy dies
Tragedy struck on a cricket field, yet again, this time in the city. A six-year-old boy died after being hit on the chest by a ball while playing a cricket match with his friends at Mansoorabad, under Vanasthalipuram police station on Friday. According to police, UKG student of Montessori school, T Vamshi Krishna, son of T Govinda Raju, died when he was hit by a powerful shot hit by a fellow player while they were playing at Sahara Estates on Thursday at 7 pm.

According to police, UKG student of Montessori school, T Vamshi Krishna, son of T Govinda Raju, died when he was hit by a powerful shot hit by a fellow player while they were playing at Sahara Estates on Thursday at 7 pm.
"The boy collapsed on the ground. Alerted by the boys there and locals, the parents rushed to the spot and immediately took him to Oxygen Hospital where doctors pronounced dead on arrival," ACP (Vanasthalipuram) B Bhaskar said. Police said that all the boys playing the match were below 12 years. "The boys had no intention whatsoever to cause injury. It was just an accident, but still we are investigating the matter," the ACP assured. “Vamshi was fielding in a close position.
A full blooded shot struck directly on his chest and he collapsed immediately,” investigating officer S Devender said, adding that they were collecting evidence from the eyewitnesses. “The negligence by a 14-year-old boy led to my son's death,” T Anitha, mother of Vamshi complained. A pall of gloom descended in the area after the news spread. A case has been registered under Section 174 (suspicious death) of the CrPC.
