Seminar on global and regional security awareness
A ten-day interactive study programme for the Armed Forces officers was conducted at the College of Air Warfare in Secunderabad which concluded on Friday. The strategic level interactive sessions were aimed at increasing awareness on global and regional security issues besides enhancing integration between the three wings of the Armed Forces.
A ten-day interactive study programme for the Armed Forces officers was conducted at the College of Air Warfare in Secunderabad which concluded on Friday. The strategic level interactive sessions were aimed at increasing awareness on global and regional security issues besides enhancing integration between the three wings of the Armed Forces.
The programme was attended by 22 officers of the rank of the Air Commodore and equivalent from the tri-services. In consonance with the objectives of the programme, many speakers of the national and international repute including Ambassador Swashpawan Singh, G Parthasarthy, A Hasnain, Nitin Gokhale and Dipak Das Gupta addressed the participants.
During the programme, the speakers covered diverse topics including current global and regional security dynamics, India's foreign policy, social media and its impact on defence forces besides discussing in detail issues like the India-China relations, national integration and left wing extremism to name a few. Commandant College of Air Warfare attended the programme. Air Marshal GP Singh, VSM, Commandant Air Force Academy, graced the valedictory function.
