Youth rapes teen on pretext of marriage
The Mangalhat police on Friday arrested a 20-year-old youth on the charges of raping and cheating his girlfriend on the pretext of marrying her. The accused Nagesh of Sham Nagar was arrested following a complaint lodged by the parents of a 19-year-old girl who claimed that Nagesh had sexually exploited their daughter by promising to marry her. According to police, Nagesh had an affair with the girl for last few months.
Hyderabad: The Mangalhat police on Friday arrested a 20-year-old youth on the charges of raping and cheating his girlfriend on the pretext of marrying her. According to police, Nagesh had an affair with the girl for last few months.
However, after getting a job as an electrician in the GHMC he refused to marry her and got engaged to another girl. His marriage was scheduled to be held on Saturday. Nagesh started avoiding her recently and gave evasive answers, the cops said, after a complaint was lodged by the victim. Based on the complaint, the police registered a case under Sections 376 and 471 of the IPC and sent the victim to government hospital for medical examination.
