Hyderabad: A man was arrested on Saturday for allegedly threatening and abusing Ameerpet Mandal Revenue officer (MRO) and other officials, for objecting to his attempt to sell disputed land near Erragadda Hospital on Friday. According to S R Nagar police, Mohammed Hussain, 64, employee of Anupama Enterprises tried to sell disputed land near Erragadda by placing ‘plot for sale’. When the revenue officials got the information from Erragadda Hospital, they tried to remove the board on the orders of MRO, Venkateshwarlu.

The accused confronted the officials and later reached the MRO office and created high drama and also allegedly abused the officials. Later a cases were registered against him on the complaint of MRO for encroachment of government property and abusing the government officials. About 11 acres of land near Erragadda hospital has been in dispute for several years. Even as the case in the court, Mohammed Hussain attempted to encroach up on and sell the same, said SI Bhumeshwar.
