Hyderabad: The Telangana government proposes to create three industrial corridors between Hyderabad-Warangal, Hyderabad-Nagpur and Hyderabad-Bangalore for the rapid industrial development in the state. Announcing this at the inauguration of a two-day seminar on ‘Make in India’ organised by the Federation of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTAPCCI) here on Saturday, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao promised hassle-free regime of transparency and accountability.

He said avoiding corruption will attract the investors in a big way and said his government would invite global-level industries and investors to the world conference likely to be conducted in May soon after introducing the new industrial policy. Delivering the key address, IT Minister K Tarakarama Rao reiterated the TRS government’s high priority for development of industry in the new state. He said Telangana would be made a key investment destination in the country.

This proposed meeting, he said, will focus on the facilities provided by the government, infrastructure available in the state and the new industrial policy. Dalit industrialists will get special incentives and encouragement in Telangana State, he said. He also assured that the government will provide uninterrupted power supply to industries and safe drinking water through water grid program.

Outlining various measures being introduced by the government, he stated that TS-IPASS (Telangana State Industrial Project Approval and Self Certification System) would ensure time-bound and single-window clearance. He said permission for MRF expansion plant was given in a record 10 days while e-commerce major Amazon got required clearance for warehouse unit in 11 days, he said. Further, KTR explained that government had prepared a land bank of 2.5 lakh acre to be given for new industries.

While previous governments in the last 25 years could give only 35,000 acres for industries, the TRS government had earmarked land five times bigger land, he stated.The minister said many companies from all over India were showing interest to invest in Telangana. “Buoyed by the response, we have decided to conduct a Global Investors Expo in January next year”, he said.
