Annamacharya Bhavana Vahini conducted Annama Swararchana in Annamayyapuram on Saturday. Sridevi Mungara rendered a dance recital as part of the programme, including a few Keertanas of Ganesh Pancha Rathana, Nandana Nandana Tarangam.and Okapari Kokapari Vayyaramai (Annamayya Keerthana).
Sridevi Mungara developed a strong fascination for dance since her childhood. The artiste underwent rigorous training under the guidance of Nrityachoodamani, Padma Shri awardee Dr Sobha Naidu since she was 15-years-old.
With a strong desire to propagate dance, Sridevi has setup a dance school in the US and has trained many students. The artist also setup a dance academy in Kukatpally, after returning to India in 2009.
She holds the Guinness Book Record for her dance performance at the International Kuchipudi Dance Convention.
