At least seven women of Assam were died in Nepal where a massive earthquake rocked the Himalayan region on Saturday, officials said. All of them from Guwahati and they were on pilgrimage. The deceased persons were identified as Hemaprabha Saikia, Bhanita Deka, Joyshree Bora, Bhumika Das, Rima Das, Kalpana Adhikary and Padmawati Mazumdar and their bodies have likely to brought to Guwahati on Tuesday.

Guwahati: At least seven women of Assam were died in Nepal where a massive earthquake rocked the Himalayan region on Saturday, officials said. All of them from Guwahati and they were on pilgrimage. The deceased persons were identified as Hemaprabha Saikia, Bhanita Deka, Joyshree Bora, Bhumika Das, Rima Das, Kalpana Adhikary and Padmawati Mazumdar and their bodies have likely to brought to Guwahati on Tuesday. On other hand a total of 30 people of the state had arrived at Guwahati from Delhi on Tuesday. A top official of Assam government said that, 72 people of the state have untraceable so far in Nepal.
