Venkaiah Naidu: Land Acquisition Act will not be compromised. Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday cited an example of Congress accusing NDA for the suicide of farmer Gajendra Singh from Rajasthan and said that Congress is always known for its negative propaganda against the NDA rule.

Making it clear that the Centre won’t compromise on the amendments proposed for the Land Acquisition Act, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday cited an example of Congress accusing NDA for the suicide of farmer Gajendra Singh from Rajasthan and said that Congress is always known for its negative propaganda against the NDA rule.

Stating that there is no link between the farmer’s suicide and the amendment of Land Acquisition Act and that it is a part of the Congress disinformation campaign, Mr Naidu said that over 2.97 lakh suicides by farmers across the country was witnessed in UPA’s 10 year rule and asked Congress if BJP was responsible for them.

Also, during the 10-month old rule of Narendra Modi government, a single acre has not been acquired from the farmers but Congress-led UPA government forcibly acquired five lakh acres of farm lands in the name of Special Economic zones, said Mr Venkaiah Naidu.
