Centre assures national status to Pranahita
Union Minister of State for Water Resources Prof Sanwar Lal Jat on Monday informed the Rajya Sabha that the Centre was in receipt of a request to declare Pranahita-Chevella as a National Project from the Telangana Government along with its Detailed Project Report (DPR).
Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Water Resources Prof Sanwar Lal Jat on Monday informed the Rajya Sabha that the Centre was in receipt of a request to declare Pranahita-Chevella as a National Project from the Telangana Government along with its Detailed Project Report (DPR).
"The observations of CWC on different aspects such as hydrology, irrigation planning, design, electro mechanical and integrated storage planning aspects have been communicated to the Project Authorities. The same need to be clarified.The statutory clearances from Ministries of Environment, Forests and Climate Change and Tribal Affairs are also to be submitted by the Project Authorities, for facilitating the consideration of the proposal," the Union Minister said in his written reply.
