Mahboobnagar: Hyderabad scored a decisive double with the men and women emerging as the eventual champions in the 2nd Telangana State Softball Junior inter-district championship 2015 (Boys and Girls) in Marlu near here on Saturday.
Hyderabad boys had a close 7-5 win over Warangal, which paved the way for title success. The girls final was among the most exciting ones of the championship with Hyderabad girls surviving several hiccups to prevail over Medak 12-11.
Later, A Ramu Nayak, Deputy Collector of Hyderabad gave away the prize sin the presence of Obedulla Kothwal, District Congress Committee President and K Shobhan Babu, General Secretary of Telangana Softball Association. Results: 1. Hyderabad, 2. Warangal, 3. Mahboobnagar; Girls: 1. Hyderabad, 2. Medak, 3.
