Small time actress in Tamil cinema, Saritha alias Sangeetha has been sentenced to life-time imprisonment by a court for murder charges of a film director.
The actress was pronounced guilty by Additional Sessions Judge Chandrashekar on Saturday and also a fine of Rs 5,000 was slapped on her.
The actress was reportedly enraged with the Tamil film Director, M Selva for not offering her a role in the movie and allegedly strangulated him on March 6, 2007. Although she was arrested for the murder, she absconded for seven years and was rearrested in December, 2014 at the Puzhal prison.
