Former BCCI Chief N Srinivasan who lately has been a part of many controversies has landed himself in another. On Monday, a shocking revelation by DNA newspaper where the BCCI Chief’s gay son, Ashwin Srinivasan accused by his father for forcing him to marry a woman in order to continue their family lineage.

Stating that he and his partner Avi Mukherjee were being held captive in Chennai’s tony First Avenue neighborhood of Boat Club which is close to his father’s residence, Ashwin shared various letters written by Srinivasan who opposed the relationship of his son with another man. DNA Newspaper possesses all the letters written by N Srinivasan in between 2007-08.

One such letter from Srinivasan in 2007 stated that he would like the money that he earned through hard work to go to his flesh and blood and a lineage to carry forward the business. Hence marrying a girl is acceptable which will enable the creation of a lineage stated the later.

Unhappy with the attitude of his father, Ashwin lashed out against Srinivasan who replied saying that his ‘friend’ (Avi) was a criminal who indulges in drugs, breaks the law and has stripped all the dignity and self respect of Ashwin.

Now, Ashwin claims that as the letters failed to change his mind, his father has resorted to threats and violence. However, when questioned on the issue, Mr Srinivasan chose not to comment as it is personal matter between a father and son.
