Two drown after consuming toddy
A leisure trip ended in tragedy when two youth met a watery grave while swimming in a lake near Keesara, police said on Monday.The deceased identified as Saikumar, 19, and Prasad, 20, both residents of Sairam Nagar in Kapra area went to enjoy the day with two of their friends.

Saikumar, Prasad, Rajesh and Balakrishna, all residents of the same locality consumed toddy at Kundanpally in Keesara mandal on Sunday evening. After consuming the drinks, they decided to swim in the nearby lake near Praja Sai Gardens and got drowned,” the cop said, adding that they did not know swimming.
The incident came to light on Monday when local residents noticed the bodies floating on the water and informed the police. "Rajesh and Balakrishna did not inform their parents about the mishap but when Saikumar and Prasad’s parents lodged a missing complaint with the Keesara police on Sunday, the police grilled Rajesh and Balakrishna and the truth was revealed,” the cops added. A case under Section 174 (Suspicious death) of CrPC was registered.
