AP: Korra Rajanna among the 11 Maoists arrested in Kurnool Andhra Pradesh Police arrested Janashakti leader, Korra Rajanna along with 10 other members of the banned Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Janashakti faction in Kurnool district.

On Tuesday, Andhra Pradesh Police arrested Janashakti leader, Korra Rajanna along with 10 other members of the banned Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Janashakti faction in Kurnool district.


A case has been booked against all the 11 members under sections 121A (sedition) and 120B of the Indian Penal Code. The members of the Janashakthi group were seeking to rebuild the party besides get hold of arms and collect funds said a senior police officer. Kurnool Superintendent of Police AK Ravikrishna said that Maoist literature was recovered from them.


In the past, the Janashakthi group was held responsible for several murders and other incidents of violence in the united Andhra Pradesh; 46 members from the group had surrendered in 2002.
