Audi launches high-end racing sport bike

German Automobile Giant Audi famous for their luxurious and stylish cars, unveiled a high-end, lightweight road bike, named ‘Audi Sport Racing Bike’. The limited-edition Audi Sport Racing Bike was unveiled in Japan at Audi’s showroom in Shibuya, Tokyo.

The frame is made from carbon fibre and is reported to weigh a fairly impressive 790g, the total bike weight is claimed to be 5.8kg. The carbon fibre used is known as T1000, reportedly the same as that used in Audi’s race cars. The groupset is Shimano Dura-Ace Di2, while the wheels are Lightweight Meilensteins carbon clinchers. Only 50 units of this limited-edition bicycle will be sold worldwide.

‘The Audi Sport Racing Bike meets the highest requirements in aesthetics and design as well as technical requirements, the exclusive design of the Bike pursues the progressive Audi lines and supports its sporty, functional character,” said the company. The price of the Audi Sport Racing Bike is reportedly $19,650 around Rs 12.5 lakh, the amount that could buy you a luxury car.
