Auto trolleys to generate employment
After the successful Driver-cum-Owner scheme, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is planning to purchase 2,000 auto trolleys to provide employment to youth. GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar inspected the hydraulic auto trolleys of different companies. Company representatives demonstrated the capabilities of the auto trolleys.

It was decided during the Swachh Telangana-Swachh Hyderabad programme that the corporation would purchase trolleys for effective transportation of garbage. The corporation is yet to decide on the type of trolleys that it would purchase. A company that is supplying one and half ton auto trolleys that are being used at Kothagudam municipality and the ones used at Ahmedabad and Surat municipal corporations were also shown to municipal authorities.
