KCR hints at penalty on violators
The State Government is planning to slap a penalty on those who throw garbage, debris and litter on the roads instead of using dust bins being provided.This was hinted here on Friday by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at a review meeting on \'Swachh Hyderabad\' programme that was launched on May 16.

Hyderabad: The State Government is planning to slap a penalty on those who throw garbage, debris and litter on the roads instead of using dust bins being provided.This was hinted here on Friday by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at a review meeting on 'Swachh Hyderabad' programme that was launched on May 16.
Stating that roads should be found free from garbage as the government will supply two dust bins (wet and dry) to every household. KCR stated the clean drive was successful and will continue, he exhorted the people and shops to abstain from throwing trash, litter, debris or garbage on the roads.

The Chief Minister directed the officials to create awareness among the people about the usage of separate bins for wet and dry waste. He said this would facilitate easier disposal of garbage in a hygienic manner. He announced that auto-trolleys would be provided to unemployed youth and the same could be used for lifting of garbage from various localities.
He also asked the officials to ensure that garbage and debris is removed from the city road at frequent intervals with the active cooperation of shop keepers. CM said roads are getting clogged due to storm waters as nalas were encroached by houses, KCR said. This problem should be resolved by providing the dwellers with alternative facility. The government will provide 2,500 trolley autos to unemployed youth to shift the garbage to dumping yard from the houses.
He hinted at slapping penalty on the violators and asked to cooperate for keeping the city clean. ‘Our priority is to make nalas and roads clean to make the city beautiful through people cooperation’. Reiterating his stand to provide housing for the poor, KCR said that houses on nalas will be removed, besides, providing them an alternative and asked the officials to follow a scientific approach on providing civic amenities on time like water and power.
Of the 77 nalas, five are joining Hussain Sagar and the rest of 72 are merging into Musi , he said and directed the officials to take necessary measures of creating awareness among the people against throwing garbage on the roads. KCR also directed the officials to take immediate measures to remove hi-tension wires which are located close to houses and apartments.
He said that complaints of drinking water contamination should be attended on priority basis and it should be ensured that water and drainage lines are aligned, separately
