The Bavarian automaker, BMW is set to unveil the eldest of M siblings on May 29. Sporting new headlamps with LED lights, revised front bumper and alloy wheel designs, new 6 Series also gets new exterior colours that include new Jatoba metallic, Cashmere Silver metallic, Glacier Silver metallic, Mediterranean Blue metallic and Melbourne Red metallic paintwork finishes adding to its exterior appeal.

Sporting new headlamps with LED lights, revised front bumper and alloy wheel designs, new 6 Series also gets new exterior colours that include new Jatoba metallic, Cashmere Silver metallic, Glacier Silver metallic, Mediterranean Blue metallic and Melbourne Red metallic paintwork finishes adding to its exterior appeal.


Modifications to the interiors were noted to include new upholstery in two tone leather along with other improvements.There are however, no changes to engine specifications, as it continues to be powered by the same 3.0 liter, inline six cylinder diesel engine offering 313 hp peak power at 4,400 rpm and 630 Nm torque at 1,500-2,500 rpm.


Power is sent to rear wheels through an 8 speed automatic transmission. Acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph is achieved in 5.4 seconds while top speed is slated to stand at 250 kmph. The high performance engine also delivers great fuel efficiency thanks to the comprehensive technology package that includes features such as intelligent lightweight construction, automatic start/stop function, brake energy regeneration, electric power steering, 50:50 weight distribution, et al.
