Petrol tanker catches fire

A petrol-laden truck caught fire near Madhav Reddy flyover in Ghatkesar area on Friday evening and fire fighters fought for a couple of hours to douse the flames. The tanker (AP 28W 0728) of HPCL which was carrying 20,000 litres of petrol was on its way to Hyderabad from Ghatkesar.

Sudden fire emerged from the engine of the truck which soon spread to the other parts of the vehcile.As many as three fire tenders rushed to the spot soon after tanker caught fire. Senior police officer rushed to the spot and diverted traffic.
