Sulking Narsa Reddy placated with district president post

Hyderabad: Ahead of party’s three day annual meet - Mahanadu slated to be held from May 27 in the city- TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu, on Sunday, appointed party presidents for eight districts in Telangana state. In a move to placate the sulking senior leader A Narsa Reddy, who was denied MLC nomination under MLA quota recently though the party politburo member E Dayakar Rao strongly backed him, has been re-appointed as Nizamabad district party chief.


There were speculations that Narsa Reddy had struck a deal with TRS and was contemplating to switch over to pink party after being elected as MLC. It is also said that Narsa Reddy had expressed his inability to pool funds to win election, hence Vem Narendra Reddy supported by A Revanth Reddy was given the ticket.


The other district presidents are CH Rama Rao (Karimnagar), Shashikala Yadav Reddy (Medak), T Prakash Goud (Ranga Reddy), B Narasimhulu (Mahabubnagar), Bilyanaik (Nalgonda) , T Brahmaiah (Khammam) , B Janardhan (Adilabad East) and L Shyam Sundar was nominated as party president of Adilabad West.

Naidu instructed all the district leaders to mobilise people in a big number to make success the Mahanadu, the first meeting of the party after the bifurcation of the State in the city. The leaders would be felicitated in the meeting recognising their services to the party in difficult times during the 2014 elections.
