  • The 4000 MW project would be commissioned in four years time

The NTPC officials agreed to put up entire 4000 MWs fully dedicated to Telangana as per Reorganisation Act at Ramagundam in their existing land. The Chief Minister assured required water allocation will be ensured and informed the CMD that he himself would take up the issue of coal linkage with Prime Minister.

The Chairman and Managing Director, NTPC, assured the Chief Minister to commission the project within four years. Minister for Energy G. Jagadish Reddy, CMD Telangana Genco D Prabhaker Rao and Secretary Energy, Aravind Kumar were present.
